Our Story
In 2022 a group of oil & gas professionals decided to take drilling emissions seriously. Instead of the general industry approach where a few data points and lots of paper work produce inaccurate and broad emission estimates, we wanted to create a software solution that produces accurate, detailed, traceable insight into how and why emissions from an asset are formed. Not once per year or once per month – but every second. Not from power generated by gas turbines or bunker delivery notes. Instead, we wanted to correlate energy produced versus energy consumed. For every machine. Constantly. Tracking power usage, creating baselines, finding anomalies from hundreds of machines, breaking huge data sets into key emissions and cost numbers for any machine at any point in time - up to the entire asset over years of operation.
We call this GreenDRILL. Enables organizations to understand how emissions are formed. So organizations can take qualified actions since they understand emissions. Because that is the only way to reduce emissions. Required by the authorities. As well as any organization with a carbon reduction strategy.
Seeing how machinery work - correlated with how the rig operates – is a strong indicator of maintenance requirements. When the drilling asset is at full throttle, machinery wear faster. When there are lazy periods, some machinery may not be used at all. Still most drilling assets are maintained on calendar time. Often resulting in way too much maintenance. And sometimes far from enough maintenance.
Using the proven high-quality data model in EXACTE’s cloud, we have now launched PREDANA as a full data-driven maintenance management application. It combines drilling equipment data, condition sensors, well data, planned and actual operational data and more to estimate the machine health of several hundred machines – continuously.
This enables PREDANA to suggest the optimal time to carry out maintenance based on actual usage and risk of downtime. A new window with insight and ways to balance and optimize maintenance are opened. Coupled with a digital workflow that let everyone have the same information. With all information related to planning, performing and documenting each maintenance activity in one place.
